Sam Rasoul Endorsed By Grassroots Organizations

ROANOKE - On Tuesday, Sunrise Movement Virginia announced their endorsement of Del. Sam Rasoul (D-11) for Lieutenant Governor. Their endorsement is the fourth grassroots endorsement for Rasoul’s campaign in the last week, following endorsements by Richmond for All on Monday, United Rural Democrats the preceding Saturday and IUE-CWA Local 82162 the preceding Wednesday.

Sunrise Movement Virginia: “As Lt. Governor, Delegate Rasoul would focus on addressing the real, material challenges Virginians across the commonwealth face, from public housing and workers’ rights to increasing funding for social services and getting corporate money out of politics.”

Richmond For All: “Sam Rasoul is committed to building an urban-rural coalition rather than pitting the needs of urban and rural communities against each other. Sam fights for Richmond the same as he fights for Roanoke, and we are ready to fight for him.” Full statement.

United Rural Democrats: “Delegate Sam Rasoul, who has fought for Southwest Virginia for eight years, is literally running on these values to be the next Lt. Governor. We endorse him because we believe he is exactly what we need to bring rural VA back.”

IUE-CWA Local 82162: “It is the honor of IUE-CWA Local 82162 to endorse Sam Rasoul as our candidate of choice for Virginia’s next Lieutenant Governor.”
